****warning****I will be venting in the following paragraph*******
All three boys had well-baby check ups today. I'm a little irritated with the doctor's office though. First, our appointment was scheduled for 2:00pm and when we get there, there is a sign saying they are closed until 2:30pm (which is a little frustrating since I took off work early to get there on time). So we wait. When we finally get called back, there is a sign posted in the room stating that they will no longer be giving out immunizations. So our doctor will look them over, but we have to take the kids to the health dept to get their shots, which they only do once a month and we've already missed it for this month. Also, usually they take all the kids measurements (height, weight, head circumference) and write it down for each one and give it to me. They did not do that this time, so I didn't get all the stats. I do know that Jagger is 28 lbs and Slade is 18 lbs, but I do not know how much Cash weighs or anyone's height. We just changed to this pediatrician when Cash and Slade were born, and I was really happy at first because the facility was so nice compared to our previous pediatricians office, but now I'm not sure that is enough to win us over. Sometimes I feel like our doctor is a little quick to refer us to specialists. She is the one that stressed me out over Jagger being autistic. Now, she's concerned about Slade's sleeping habits and wants to refer us to Akron Children's Hospital for a sleep study. I don't think so. And I can't stand the woman that runs the front desk. Not friendly
at all. I just want to find a doctor that has a nice clean office, with friendly staff, and is thorough with checkups, listens to us, but doesn't go over board with treatments. Does that kind of doctor exist? I don't know what to do.
Well, anyways, no shots today, so at least the kids aren't all (extra)cranky.
