day of gluttony

otherwise known as a day at the fair.

basically, i go to the fair to eat.

we save up all year so we can eat good.

it's a little bit different now that i have kids.

we look at all the animals

and this year, jagger got to ride the carousel and go down the big slide, but the rides don't have the appeal to me that they did when i was younger.

i do enjoy walking through the photography and arts sections. 

but really it is all just to pass the time so i can stuff more food into my body.

today i started out with fries, then i had a 

beef egg roll

a large lemonade

some of terry's elephant ear

steak on a stick  

half of jagger's gyro

another large lemonade

a few bites of a hot apple dumpling with lots of ice cream

another elephant ear 

and some cotton candy to go

and you know what? i think i probably could have grabbed a bloomin' onion on the way out, but unfortunately, i didn't.  next time.

jagger seemed to enjoy the fair.  next year when he is a little bit bigger, i'm sure he'll enjoy it more because he will be able to ride more of the rides.  i enjoyed walking around and just taking in all the sights and smells.  the kids were all in good moods, so that helped the day a lot.  and i really enjoy watching corey's parents enjoying their grandkids.  it makes me happy :)
