we are having a cookie exchange at work on the 17th and i decided i needed to test out a few recipes. tonight when magen came over, we made a couple batches of chai shortbread and andes mint cookies. yum! so far, the andes mint cookies are winning as the ones i'll be making, but i still think i need to try a few more recipes :) (so much for portion control! i think i'm gonna have to wait until after the holidays.)

i have to begin the baking too. i am glad to hear that a tree is going up in the Blair household this year, and so what if it looks a little department storish right now. Over the years it will grow and become more and more like an original Blair creation.

On the last episode of Monk, he had a cardboard cut out tree. I think it's a great idea. Look for it in this Blair house!
